About Me
I have been an entrepreneur before I knew what entrepreneurship was. I learned to sew when I was 9 years old. I made prom dresses and gloves in high school to pay for my senior activities. I graduated from college and continued my passion for fashion. After working for some of the best retail stores in Chicago, I was promoted to open the first Nordstrom's in the Metro Atlanta area.
Once I became a mother, I knew I would not go back to work force the same way. I began teaching children to sew in my home. It led to starting a small fashion school for children. Sew Creative Preparatory allowed me to raise my children and run a business.
Having undergone life changing events, I went from homeowner to tenant again. This experience revealed how few rights tenants have and infuriated me. Ultimately, it made me want to help others become homeowners.
